Children should learn about Gender Equality

Gender equality means fair treatment to all the gender according to their respective needs that mean Male, Female, or Transgender. Equal treatment is considered equivalent in terms of benefits, rights, opportunities, and obligations. Gender equality is a human right, therefore, all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Gender equality is essential for economic prosperity, a safer and healthier society.

Children should be aware of gender bias, by educating children about gender equality, it will help them respond to intolerance in the real world. Research reveals that gender awareness should be provided at an early age that will help children explore and respond accordingly. It also helps gain self-confidence, peer acceptance, social support, and well-being.
Gender roles in society state how a specify gender is expected to behave, act, dress, speak, groom, make decisions according to assigned sex. Studies have also revealed that if inequality in gender is reduced, the employment rate will increase that will positively affect the global GDP. Following reasons states that why gender equality is good for society.

·         Economic Growth:
Studies reveal that equal opportunities to all the gender groups will help in creating more employment opportunities and thus benefits all of society. Equal right to education, speech, job significantly reduce illiteracy, poverty, and thus improving global GDP.
·         Safer and Healthier Society:
Gender inequality is the root cause of violence, racial discrimination, unhealthy and unproductive environment. Striving for intersectional gender equality can help reducing inequality wherever it is found.
·         Equal Opportunity:
When all gender is provided with equal opportunities, it benefits all of society. Success and growth of all the gender will translate into the economy as a whole. Gender equality when started with the education provided better and equal opportunities to all the gender.
·         Fosters Peace:
Improved equality for all gender can reduce the amount of violence and thus provide security for vulnerable. Improvement in gender equality will lead to peace among individuals. Now the goal is to promote gender equality while replacing traditional and conservative system based on discrimination with a happier, safer and modern system.
