Children should learn about Gender Equality
Gender equality means fair treatment to all
the gender according to their respective needs that mean Male, Female, or
Transgender. Equal treatment is considered equivalent in terms of benefits,
rights, opportunities, and obligations. Gender equality is a human right,
therefore, all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities.
Gender equality is essential for economic prosperity, a safer and healthier
society.
Children should be aware of gender bias, by educating children about gender equality, it will help them respond to intolerance in the real world. Research reveals that gender awareness should be provided at an early age that will help children explore and respond accordingly. It also helps gain self-confidence, peer acceptance, social support, and well-being.
Gender roles in society state how a specify gender is expected to behave, act, dress, speak, groom, make decisions according to assigned sex. Studies have also revealed that if inequality in gender is reduced, the employment rate will increase that will positively affect the global GDP.
